IUA was established in 1997 on a foundation of sound industry knowledge and customer service.

The small tight knit team works closely together to ensure that the needs of brokers and their clients are met quickly, efficiently and with a smile.

IUA started with a focus on moderate to high hazard property underwriting but now offers a wide range of insurance products for all types of businesses like material damage, business interruption, public liability and personal accident insurance, amongst others. We're also able to access markets for many specialist lines.

We operate from Auckland and Christchurch to provide local knowledge and service to both islands of New Zealand.

Dealing only with brokers, IUA is your local gateway for certain underwriters of Lloyd's and other London markets. 

We also have a facility locally with Lumley General Insurance for Commercial and Private Motor Vehicle Insurance.
